Almost £1 million of class B drugs were seized by police in Belfast this afternoon.

Three men (aged 26, 32 and 56) were arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs following the operation.

Police recovered drugs worth £840,000 (€952,000) and a large sum of cash.

PSNI Detective Chief Superintendent Roy McComb said it reduced the activities of those involved in the drugs trade.

“This is a significant seizure of drugs that would have been circulated in Northern Ireland and indicates that organised criminals are intent on bringing misery, in the form of illegal drugs, into our communities,” he said.
