Three PSNI officers were injured during a hit and run incident in Co Antrim, it emerged today.
They were carrying out vehicle checks in Glengormley when a BMW with two men on board that had been stopped reversed into a police car.
Two officers inside were hurt in the collision on the Antrim Road last night before the white car drove off at high speed.
A third officer was struck by the car as it headed for the Sandyknowes roundabout.
Meanwhile, a police officer has suffered a suspected broken nose after being attacked in west Belfast.
The attack happened during an operation against under-age street drinking in the Falls and Springfield Road districts.
Police said the youth suspected of carrying out the assault struck the officer on the face before running from the scene at Pollard Street.
