Gardaí in Co Tipperary are treating as suspicious a fire which extensively damaged Littleton Garda Station near Thurles during the night.
The alarm was raised at 2am this morning and two units from the Fire Service attended the scene and brought the fire under control.
The building, which has living quarters attached, was unoccupied at the time.
The scene is sealed off and a technical examination is being carried out.
