Training for primary teachers

In service training for about 10,000 primary school teachers started yesterday as their pupils were beginning their summer holidays. Some 2,800 teachers are receiving training from their union, the Irish National Teachers Organisation, which has organised courses in 70 locations. They cover five areas infant education, maths, literacy and learning difficulties, school planning and classroom management.
