Five new Quality Bus Corridors are due to be introduced in Dublin over the next two months.

The corridors running from North Clondalkin, Rathfarnham, Tallaght, Whitehall and Blanchardstown to and from Dublin city centre will cut journey times by 40 per cent, according to the Dublin Transportation Office.

Fifty-eight extra buses will provide an extra 8,300 seats during peak hours when all five bus corridors are operational by the end of April.

Dublin currently has four: from Stillorgan, Malahide Road, Finglas and Lucan.
