Trintech, the Dublin-based software company, has been selected to provide an automated ticketing system for Aston Villa football club.
The company's PayWare Merchant software will allow supporters pay for tickets at an unmanned kiosk at the club's Birmingham stadium using a debit or credit card.
Tickets will then be printed immediately. According to Aston Villa's Mr Dave Money: "The ability for our fans to purchase tickets at an automated kiosk will help speed the ticketing process for credit card holders."
"The system also allows us to cut down on costly paperwork and manpower spent managing ticket sales," he added.
