Two overnight attacks in north Belfast are being linked to loyalist feuding.

The police are understood to regard an attack on a taxi depot in Ballysillan and the throwing of a bomb at house in Ballygomartin as part of the resurgent feud between the LVF and UDA.

The taxi depot was badly damaged along with two adjoining properties in the fire on the Ballysillan Road. Police are treating the fire, which was reported at around 3am, as arson.

Around an hour later, a blast bomb was thrown at a house in the Westway area of Ballygomartin. Minor damage was caused.
