The bodies of a young couple were discovered in a wood near Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim today.
The man and the woman, both aged in their 20s, were found in the front seats of a car by a local farmer in Glenfarne, near Manorhamilton.
The farmer had previously spoken to the couple last Friday. A garda spokesman said the deaths were being treated as suspicious.
A local doctor pronounced the man and the woman dead at midday. Their bodies are being taken to Sligo General Hospital for a post mortem examination.
Gardai are taking the car to Sligo Garda Station for a technical examination.
