Gardaí in Cork city are trying to identify two bodies taken from the River Lee earlier today.

Gardaí in Cork city are trying to identify two bodies taken from the River Lee earlier today.

The Navy is understood to have been involved in retrieving a body from a car seen entering the river at Horgan's Quay this morning.

During the operation a second body, that of a man was found. The deaths are not believed to connected.
