A cyclist and a pedestrian have died after being hit by cars in Cos Louth and Wexford.

A cyclist and a pedestrian have died after being hit by cars in Cos Louth and Wexford.

The cyclist died after a crash with a SUV at Annaghvacky, Hackballscross, Dundalk at around 4.20pm yesterday afternoon.

The man, who was in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

In Co Wexford, a pedestrian in his 50s died after being struck by a car at Brownswood, Enniscorthy at around 10.30pm last night.

The man was taken to Wexford General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Neither man has been named by gardaí.
