London - A British court ordered two Egyptians to be held in custody yesterday to face extradition hearings in connection with last year's deadly bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

Magistrate Graham Parkinson postponed the case until July 19th, saying the US government had to clarify why it waited so long to issue warrants for the two men.

The United States wants Mr Ibrahim Hussein Abdel Hadi Eidarous (42) and Mr Adel Mohammed Abdul Almagid Bary (39) to face charges of conspiracy to murder over the attacks on August 7th, 1998, which killed at least 215 people in Nairobi and 11 in Dar es Salaam.
