Two men are in custody after shotguns, cash, and a quantity of drugs worth an estimated €555,000 were recovered by gardaí in Rathfarnam in south Dublin yesterday.
Cocaine believed by gardaí to be worth €280,000 and herbal cannabis worth an estimated €275,000 were recovered along with the weapons and a large quantity of ammunition following a number of searches in the area yesterday afternoon.
Two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested in the operation which included searches of a car and a van at an apartment
complex in Rathfarnham.
During a follow-up operation. gardaí searched a nearby apartment and recovered over €100,000 in cash.
The men are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Rathfarnham and Tallaght Garda stations.
The investigation is ongoing.
