A teenaged man was killed and two others were injured in an accident morning at Glendalligan, six miles outside of Dungarvan on the Waterford/Dungarvan road, at 7 a.m.

Two cars and a dumper truck were involved in the accident. The man who was killed was a passenger in one of the cars, a woman in the car was injured. The sole occupant in the other car was injured and there were no injuries in the truck.

All were taken to Waterford regional hospital.

Last night a 15-year-old boy was killed and three other were injured in a road accident in Co Kildare.

He was a passenger in one of two cars which collided on the Kilcock Road outside Clane village at around 7.30 p.m.
