Algiers - Two people have been killed and two others kidnapped, including a senator, at a fake road block in eastern Algeria, the official APS news agency said late last night. The attack took place overnight on Wednesday at Oum Ali, 630 km east of Algiers.
Islamic extremists killed two people and kidnapped two others, including Mr Mohamed Boudiar, a member of parliament. A fifth person managed to escape.
