A man and a woman have been killed in a car crash outside Claregalway, Co Galway overnight.
The incident happened on the N17 road between Galway City and Tuam at around 1.00 a.m.
Three others were injured and are recovering in the University Hospital. Their injuries are not considered life threatening.
