Two men charged with the murder of Mr Michael Shannon (34), of Connolly Villas, Ennis, Co Clare, were yesterday remanded for a further week in custody to reappear before Ennis District court next Friday.
Mr Michael Nihill (25), Churchdrive, Clarecastle, and Mr Joseph O'Halloran (29), Argyll Court, Newpark Road, London, are charged with the murder of Mr Shannon on April 2nd at Lysaght's Lane, Ennis.
Both were granted bail at the High Court last Thursday week. Solicitors for the two defendants said it would take another week before all bail conditions could be complied with.
