Two men are today recovering from wounds to a leg after being attacked last night in Larne, Co Antrim.

Two men are today recovering from wounds to a leg after being attacked last night in Larne, Co Antrim.

A man (30) was shot in the left leg at about 8.30 p.m. last night in the back garden of a derelict house at Kintyre Road in Larne.

At 11.50 p.m., another man, who was out walking his dog in Greenland Crescent in Larne, was approached by a man wearing an orange jacket and a balaclava and shot in one of his legs. The attacker fled toward Ferris Avenue.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is investigating motives for the shootings.
