Police are looking for two men seen near a Liverpool school where a home-made nail bomb exploded inside a teacher's car yesterday.

A man was reportedly seen running away from the scene after the explosion yesterday afternoon. Another man was also seen in the area.

No one was injured in the blast, but police said the device, which went off minutes before the end of the school day, could have caused considerable damage and injury.

The car, parked outside Runnymede St Edward's school in Sandfield Park, West Derby, was removed on Saturday morning by a recovery truck for forensic examination.
