Two Dublin teenage boys have pleaded guilty to the manslaughter and robbery of another youth in 2002.
The two killed their victim outside the UCI cinema complex on the Malahide Road, Coolock, on October 13th, 2002.
They had been charged with murder, but their guilty plea was accepted by the State at the Central Criminal Court today.
The pair also pleaded guilty to robbing their victim's Nokia mobile phone and a sum of cash on the night of October 12th, 2002. They also pleaded guilty to other thefts that night.
A third youth from Dublin pleaded not guilty to murder and not guilty to the robbery of the victim's mobile phone and a sum of cash on October 12th, 2002.
None of the four youths involved can be named for legal reasons.
A jury was sworn in at the Central Criminal Court but were sent home as the trial went into legal argument. Addressing the jury, Mr Justice Henry Abbott said the trial would resume tomorrow. It is expected to last two weeks.
