Cork gardaí have seized illegal drugs worth an estimated €360,000 in two separate operations in the city and county.

More than 15,000 ecstasy tablets and 170 grammes of cocaine were seized in the search of a house in Argideen Lawn in the Togher area after 10 p.m. yesterday.

Two women, aged 17 and 19, were arrested and are being questioned under the Drug Trafficking Act. They can be held for up to seven days.

In a separate incident, gardai seized two kilogrammes of cocaine in a planned search of a business premises at Ballysallagh in Charleville, Co Cork.
