London - A terminally-ill British woman who wants her husband to be allowed to help her die with dignity will have her case heard in London's High Court in mid-October. The landmark legal battle by motor neurone disease sufferer Ms Diane Pretty (42) could challenge the long-standing legal block on euthanasia in Britain.
A High Court judge ruled in August that she and her husband, Mr Brian Pretty (45), had an arguable challenge to the director of public prosecutions, who has refused immunity from prosecution to Mr Pretty if he helps his wife end her life.
