Ramon Vega has rejected Celtic's offer of a one-year deal to become Watford's first signing of the summer.

The 30-year-old Swiss international has agreed terms for a three-year deal and will link up with new manager Gianluca Vialli at the English first division club on July 1st.

Vega helped Celtic complete the treble in Scotland last season, making 26 appearances and scoring four goals at Parkhead.

Vega, capped 23 times by Switzerland, moved to Celtic in December from Tottenham and became a favourite with the Parkhead favourite.

However, he was unhappy with the club's offer of just a one-year contract.
