Vintage library ship arrives in Dublin Port

One of the world's oldest surviving passenger vessels  is to arrive into Dublin Port today.

One of the world's oldest surviving passenger vessels  is to arrive into Dublin Port today.

The the M.V. Douloswas built in 1914, two years after the Titanicsank in the North Atlantic.

Originally built in the United States as a freighter, the ship now claims to be the world's largest floating bookshop with more than half a million books.

Its owners, the Christian charity Operation Mobilisation, has provided this service since 1978, calling to 94 countries. The ship will be open to the public at Sir John Rogerson's Quay from tomorrow until May 16th.
