London - The British government yesterday denied it was planning an advertising blitz promoting virginity to teenagers, saying the "just say no" message was ineffective. Department of Health officials said the £2 million campaign will feature in teen magazines and carry the strapline: "Sex: Are you thinking about it enough?"
Advertisements will carry factual advice about a range of issues from contraception to sexually transmitted infections, peer pressure and the difficulties in being a parent. The campaign is to be launched at the end of this month.
