Two hospitals in the south-east continue to be affected by the winter vomiting virus.

At Waterford Regional Hospital, the number of people affected by the virus continues to increase.

Two more staff and a patient are thought to have contracted the virus since Monday, bringing the number of staff and patients affected to 166 and 77. The hospital remains closed to visitors.

At St Canice's Hospital in Kilkenny, there have been no new suspected cases of the virus since the weekend.
