Warning on dog snatchers

Gardai are seeking a gang who are stealing dogs for use in badger-baiting. The animals are snatched by the gang, operating from the border area, which moves around in vans. Several dogs have disappeared during the past week in counties Cavan, Meath, Leitrim and Kildare. Gardai say they believe the gang uses meat and other baits to lure the animals.
