KIEV - Ukraine warned yesterday that the damaged nuclear reactor buried in concrete at Chernobyl might explode again unless measures were taken to make it secure, Interfax news agency reported.
The Ukrainian Environment Minister, Mr Yuri Kostenko, said heat migrating from the nuclear fuel in the reactor could build up to a critical point causing "a thermic explosion".
