The Waterford bridge congress will take place in Jury's Hotel from January 9th to 11th. The mixed pairs will be played on Friday (7.30 p.m.). Both the major and intermediate B pairs will be decided on Saturday (1.30 p.m.) over two sessions; as will the teams on Sunday (1 p.m.).
There will be open pairs throughout, and novice open pairs on the final night. Among the prizes are microwave ovens for the winners of the mixed pairs. After play on Saturday there will be a social at the venue, and on Sunday (11 a.m.) a reception in the Bridge Centre, Thomas Street. Tournament directors: John Murray, Pat Breslin, Jim Walsh.
