Dublin: Iarnrod Eireann is doubling the frequency of DART services at key times on Sundays and putting on more carriages during peak hours on Saturdays to facilitate Christmas shoppers. Special shopping trains are operating to Dublin tomorrow from some provincial areas.

Eireann is running special Buses to Navan races leave Busaras tomorrow one hour before the first race. The return fare is £6.

Roadworks in connection with the Lucan Village Improvement Scheme will cause delays for the next week.

Roadworks are taking place on the Ballymun Road north of the M50. The road is open but there will be single-lane traffic at times. Long delays are expected for the next five weeks.

Traffic is reduced to a single lane on the Naas dual carriageway outbound between Aermotive and the Poitin Stil with long delays likely. A new third lane has opened on the Naas Road going outbound between Newland's Cross and Saggart.

A one-way system is in place on Church Road in Killiney for southbound traffic due to major reconstruction works.

CORK: Roadworks are in place at Rochestown on the southern carriageway of the South Ring/ Carrigaline Roads. Single-lane traffic will facilitate the construction of the Bloomfield interchange junction. Roadworks will be in place for three months on the N8 between Cahir and Mitchelstown.

Bus Eireann is providing a shuttle service to Cork city centre from council car-parks at Victoria Cross between now and Christmas.

WESTMEATH/ROSCOMMON: There will be single-lane traffic on the eastbound carriageway of the Athlone bypass with temporary diversions at interchanges for the next six months. Lane restrictions and diversions will be in place on the same bypass for the next two to three weeks for resurfacing on the Dublin-bound carriageway. Temporary lights will be in place on the Athlone/Ballymahon Road out of Mullingar. Pipe-laying works are taking place on the N52 between Mullingar and Tyrellspass, with diversions at Rochfortbridge until next month.

KILDARE: Roadworks at Leixlip village will continue for the next few weeks. There is single-lane traffic on the road from Leixlip into Maynooth.

LIMERICK: Delays can be expected on the Limerick to Foynes road at Askeaton, where watermain works are taking place. Sexton Street North has a diversion in place for eastbound traffic coming from Shannon, Galway, Parteen and Shelbourne Road going towards the city centre, Dublin or Tipperary.

TIPPERARY: Temporary traffic lights are in place on the N7, on the Limerick side of Nenagh, where there will be roadworks for the next two weeks. There are roadworks on the N8 at the Turnpike junction at the turn-off for Thurles, and there are major works on the Clonmel inner relief road with temporary lights on the Porterstown section of the N24.

LAOIS: Delays can be expected on the N8 Dublin to Cork road at Patrick Street in Durrow, due to roadworks.
