Serena Williams humbled French favourite Mary Pierce 6-1 6-1 to reach the last four of the French Open at Roland Garros for the first time in her career today.
The American third seed emulated sister Venus, who had earlier crushed Monica Seles 6-4 6-3.
Neither of the Williams sisters had made it past the quarter-finals in Paris before, but they could now meet up in the final.
Serena confirmed her huge progress on the surface in this 49-minute demolition of the 2000 champion.
