London - Jill Dando's next door neighbour told an Old Bailey jury yesterday how he first saw her body minutes after she had been shot through the head.
Mr Richard Hughes said he had heard a scream just after the TV presenter's car had drawn up outside her home at 29 Gowan Avenue, Fulham.
"It was a female scream. I did not consider it to be significant at the time," said Mr Hughes, who lived at No 31.
He was giving evidence on the fifth day of the trial of Mr Barry George (41), of Crookham Road, also of Fulham, who has denied murdering Miss Dando on April 26th, 1999.
