Gardai in Dublin are seeking witnesses to an incident in which two teenagers were stabbed in the north of the city at the weekend.
The incident occurred when the two young men were walking close to the junction of Capel Street and Bolton Street. They were with a number of other people when a man in his 20s approached the group. He said something to them which they ignored. The assailant produced a knife and stabbed one man in the back, the other in the arm. They two were taken to the Mater Hospital. One has been discharged and the other is described as "stable".
The attacker is described as being in his early 20s, of slim build and with short dark hair. He is said to be about 5 feet 6 inches in height. Witnesses are asked to contact the gardaí at Store Street (01- 666 8000).
