A young woman found supplying heroin in the Drug Court has been given an 18- month sentence which she must serve consecutive to a reactivated four-year suspended sentence.

Tracy Dunne (22), of Summerhill, Dublin, had been given the suspended term by Judge Elizabeth Dunne last May for drug-dealing.

Garda Bob Wilson told Dublin Circuit Criminal Court that Dunne was observed handing drugs to addicts at the new Drug Court on October 2nd, 2001.

Garda Wilson agreed with Ms Marie Torrens, defending, that Dunne had been in and out of prison constantly for drug-related offences since she was 16. He also agreed that Dunne usually stabilised her addiction habit while in prison but said she had not stabilised her offending.
