Police in Northern Ireland have arrested a woman in connection with the arson attack on a house in Armagh earlier this month which claimed the lives of a man and a woman.

The 28-year-old woman was arrested this afternoon.

Thomas O'Hare (33) and his partner Lisa McClatchey (21) were attacked at their farmhouse in Tassagh near Keady on November 6th by a gang of up to six people. The couple were beaten with hammers and doused with petrol before being set alight.

Mr O'Hare died of his injuries in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast last Friday. Ms O'Hare lost her fight for life in the same hospital on Wednesday.

Detectives are waiting to interview four brothers from Co Armagh who received treatment for serious burns at a Dundalk hospital after the attack. They have since been transferred to St James's Hospital, Dublin, where gardaí, working in co-operation with the PSNI, are waiting to interview them.

Senior Garda sources believe two other men were involved in the double murder. They believe these men drove the four injured men to Dundalk hospital.

A 43-year-old man has also appeared in court on charges of withholding information and perverting the course of justice in the case.
