Woman arrested over Kerr murder

A woman was arrested today by police investigating the murder of Catholic PSNI officer Ronan Kerr (25).

A woman was arrested today by police investigating the murder of Catholic PSNI officer Ronan Kerr (25).

The 36-year-old was detained in Pomeroy, Co Tyrone, 15 miles from Omagh where the constable was killed by a bomb which exploded under his car on April 2nd.

It was planted by dissident republicans.

One man, Gavin Coyle, 33, from Omagh, is facing a series of explosives and firearms charges after being detained by detectives investigating Constable Kerr's murder.
