A woman in her 80s has died after her car was in collision with a lorry in Sligo earlier today.
The incident occurred on the the main Sligo to Bundoran Road, close to Sligo at approximately 11.40am.
The woman, who was the driver of the car, was taken to Sligo General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The lorry driver sustained minor injuries.
Gardaí have begun an investigation and the scene is currently closed off.
