Gardai have named the woman who died in this morning's house fire in Castlebar, as 54-year-old Regina McHugh of Glenfort, Co. Mayo.
The fire at the Glenfort Estate on the Newport Road was reported at approximately 2am after which five units of the fire brigade attended the scene for several hours.
A man, also in the house at the time, was taken to Mayo General Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
