Lagos - An Islamic court in northern Nigeria has sentenced a woman to 100 lashes for having sex with a man to whom she was not married.
The 20-year-old woman was convicted on Friday after confessing to sleeping with a man other than her husband. The man said she had jilted him to marry a rich man, and had come to him after the rich man drove her from his house, but he denied sleeping with her.
