A woman who bit a garda on the forearm has been ordered to pay €10,000 compensation by Tallaght Court.
Samantha Malynn and a friend had been seen laughing in court during the sitting by Judge John Coughlan. “You won’t be laughing much longer,” Judge Coughlan told her.
Malynn (21), Raheen Avenue, Tallaght, pleaded guilty to assaulting Garda Ross Foy on September 11th, 2011.
Garda Sgt Brian Cagney said she was part of a group of young people who were being aggressive and abusive outside the Centra in Springfield. As Garda Foy was putting her into a Garda car, he looked away and she bit him on his forearm.
