Work on Luas closes Connolly entrance ramp

The ramp entrance at Dublin's Connolly Station will be closed from today for about a year to facilitate Luas works.

The ramp entrance at Dublin's Connolly Station will be closed from today for about a year to facilitate Luas works.

People are being asked to use the Amiens Street entrance to the station and to familiarise themselves with the alternative arrangements for buses, taxis, pedestrians, cars and Fastrack customers.

From today, the number 90 bus will set down and depart from the Amiens Street entrance to Connolly Station. The number 748 bus will pick up for the airport from outside the North Star Hotel on Amiens Street.

A temporary taxi-rank will be located on Amiens Street, with a protected walkway connecting it to the main station entrance. A temporary taxi drop-off point will be located in nearby Talbot Street.

Pedestrians are being asked to use the station entrance on Amiens Street and the connecting link mall between Amiens Street and Harbourmaster Place to enter and leave the station.

A temporary staircase will be available from the main concourse directly onto Harbourmaster Place and this may be accessed via the side doors from the concourse.

Motorists who use the ramp to access the station can now use the car-park entrance at the junction of Sheriff Street and Oriel Street.

Customers who wish to access the Fastrack office must also use the car-park entrance at the junction of Sheriff Street and Oriel Street.
