Reports of gun attack on police in Columbus, Ohio

There are reports on social media that police offices in the city of Columbus Ohio are being attacked by a gun man.

“Officers under attack from rifle fire,” the message on Columbus Police Dispatch said. It is understood the incident has been under way for roughly an hour.

There are unconfirmed reports that an officer has been shot.

Later, Columbus’s ABC 6 reported a section of Cleveland Avenue in the city’s north had been section off police investigate the incident.

Fox 28 said on Twitter shots were fired in the area.
