Three youths aged about 15 held up an EBS office in Co Meath yesterday before escaping in a stolen car.

The teenagers, armed with a knife and a sock containing a "heavy implement", pulled up outside the EBS in Dunboyne at about 4 p.m. in a green Rover 600 which had been stolen in Dublin earlier in the day.

They got away with what gardai described as a "very small amount of money".

In another robbery yesterday, a youth armed with a baseball bat and a knife entered the Irish Nationwide office in Main Street, Tallaght, and escaped with a substantial sum of money.
