An article in last Thursday’s edition, concerning the libelling of Fr Reynolds, said in error that the BAI’s compliance committee inquiry would be the first of its kind under the Defamation Act 2009. It is the Broadcasting Act 2009 (Section 53) which provides the legislative basis for inquiries to be conducted.

In an article headlined “Clinics see women within two weeks”, in the edition of November 19th it was reported that the Mater symptomatic breast clinic had diagnosed 125 cases of cancer in 2010; the figure should have been 215.
