An article in the edition of June 14th, concerning the Arab revolt against the Ottoman empire and the role of some Irishmen in it, referred to Chaim Weizman as the first Prime Minister of Israel. He was the first President; David Ben-Gurion was the first Prime Minister.
An article in the edition of June 16th, concerning the Smock Alley theatre, said that it was awarded €3.8 million in grants from the Arts Council for the redevelopment of the theatre. The funds were received from the then Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism, as was correctly reported the previous day. The article also reported that Smock Alley has raised €400,000 in funding. The theatre says that the figure is now closer to €500,000.
