An article in yesterday’s edition, concerning a tree outside the home of Anne Frank, mistakenly suggested she was Dutch. The Franks were a German family from Frankfurt who moved to Amsterdam in 1933 following the election of the Nazi government when Anne was four years old. Her diary was written in Dutch.
