As we move into the second 100 years of Ulysses, can we look forward to seeing selections from the book on the English programmes at Junior and Leaving Cert level?

Sir, – Contrary to popular opinion it was not necessary to travel to Belfast to buy a copy of Ulysses. I bought one in the Eblana bookshop in Grafton Street in 1961.
I don’t think it was actually banned in the Republic, although difficult to obtain.
The Eblana was a wonderful bookshop.
