Sir, – Rather than deploying our Army to help with security at Dublin Airport (run by the commercial semi-State airport company DAA, which used the pandemic as an opportunity to reduce their costs and staff by about a third), perhaps our Army could instead be deployed to help with our heroic hospitals, which are on their knees, struggling with another Covid wave impacting all levels of staffing – medical, nursing, administration, portering, etc.
