Sir, – I have tried countless times to make an appointment to donate blood, and admittedly I am a little restricted with times.
However, there are no times available any Tuesday until mid-October. The reason being that people who donate are invited to make an appointment three months in advance, which they do. Obviously many do not show up with this system but the times have been “taken”. Why can we not book online? Blood donations are badly needed, so make it easy for people and the clinic will get far more people in.
Seriously, if I hear the excuse “because of Covid” one more time. Meanwhile, I have yet to get an appointment to donate my universal blood type. – Yours, etc,
