Sir, – We can do fewer things by post nowadays. Whether we need to book a ticket for something or renew a driver’s licence, there is no longer a postal option.
We should be supporting our wonderful postal service. We should promote the craft of handwriting. My most valued treasures are handwritten cards from my late parents and husband. I have them on display on a board. There is no heartfelt value in an old email. A birthday card, signed by a loved one is far more meaningful than an e-card.
I think we need to stop putting our whole lives online.
