Sir, – Our home solar panels frequently return electricity to the national grid for which we are charged the mandatory standing charge by the electricity provider to facilitate.
Why then is the rate we are reimbursed different from the rate we are paying when drawing down from the grid?
The difference can be in excess of 30 per cent to 40 per cent.
In effect, we are subsidising the electricity provider, which is unfair. – Yours, etc,
